Synopsis
A non-mathematical (i.e. no Nernst) approach to basic physiology of nerve. The tapes aim to enable the student to state the factors responsible for maintenance of resting potential in nerve and to describe how the action potential arises and what its main characteristics are. Shows how the action potential is propagated and how local anaesthetic drugs act.
