Cause and Effect
- Synopsis
- Designed as the starting point for a discussion about causality in human affairs. Consists of a dramatic improvisation based on an apparently simple story line of domestic conflict and tragic resolution. But if the film presents the effect, it leaves discussion of the causes strictly to the viewing group. It is essential to the film’s purpose that it should be viewed a second time, following group discussion. Experience has shown that substantial changes of attitude may emerge between first and second showing.
