Case Presentation No. 5: Suicide

Synopsis

Two incidents in a GP’s surgery are re-created - one a girl asking for sleeping tablets the other a man describing how he has just made a determined attempt to kill himself. Following portrayal of the incident, the GP describes what happens next and comments on his management of the problem: there follows a commentary from a psychiatrist. This tape is designed to initiate discussion.
