Cardington: The Biggest Fire Space in the World
- Synopsis
- Shows the space, size and 15 specialist rigs within the Fire Research Station’s Cardington Laboratory, a former air ship hanger which is used for full-scale fire and explosion testing. There are examples of highrack storage, smoke movement, sprinkler protection, gas explosions, and fire performance of various materials. Rigs include a three-bedroomed house, department store floor, aircraft, and a mobile laboratory.
