Synopsis
Shows how integrated environmental design can create buildings which provide a satisfactory environment, are economical to run and maintain, and are aesthetic. It describes how form, shape and materials affect the amount of noise, heat, air and light flowing into, out of or around buildings as well as the aesthetics and structural system. Design and research in building environmental engineering are emphasised.
