Synopsis

An exploration of the culture of the people of Sri Lanka. Shows the the daily life of villagers - cultivating their rice fields, visiting the market and attending a variety of ceremonies. All aspects of Sinhalese village life (folklore, riligious rites, sculpture, painting, music and dance) are shown to be wholly integrated with Buddhism.
