Brylcream’s Better Than Nothing
- Synopsis
- Tells the stories of a policewoman, an army officer and a social worker who were fostered and/or adopted with white or Asian families as children and discusses, through their vastly different experiences, transracial placement in a children’s home and in a family. Look at the complexities of ‘black’ identities through differences in cultural heritage, the question of placement for bi-racial individuals and physical care of trans-racially placed children.
