British Youth

Synopsis
The word ‘teenager’ came into use in Britain in the 1950s when the young began to invent and adopt their own fashions, magazines, music and style. This was the birth of what is now known as ‘youth culture’. A selection of young British people talk about education, pop music, fashion, and their hopes and plans for the future.
