Britannia - A Bridge

Synopsis

Robert Stephenson’s Britannia Bridge across the Menai Strait was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1970. Shows the reconstruction of the bridge, with steel arches supporting and eventually replacing Stephenson’s wrought iron tubes.
