Synopsis

A selection of cartoonists’ graphic images designed to examine Britain’s relations with the USA and the USSR from 1945 to 1962. Cartoons drawn for the major newspapers and opinion-forming journals are compared and contrasted to present a picture of how Britain has accepted a changed role in the world of the superpower.
