Brain and Behaviour, The

Synopsis
The series presents research in experimental psychology which reveals significant concepts and methods in the scientific study of behaviour. This film describes research on the complex mechanism of the brain which underlie animal and human behaviour and traces the historical development of the concepts of the brain. Explains Dr Hans Berger’s discovery in 1929 of ‘brain waves’. By attaching electrodes to the back of a man’s head, Dr Berger was able to record the electrical activity in the brain underneath.
