Synopsis

Outlines the history of airships (or dirigibles) from the pioneering efforts of Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin to the career of the ‘Hindenberg’ sister ship the ‘Graf Zeppelin’. Looks at airships through thw two world wars, the Korean War and the Cold War up to the present day. Uses archive film footage, photographs, graphics and interviews with surviving crew members of various Zeppelins in both civil and military roles.
