- Archive film from the National Maritime Museum’s collection showing yachting in the 1930s. Film of four great yachts - ‘Britannia’, ‘Velsheder’, ‘Astra’ and ‘Westward’ in action in the Thames Estuary, the Solent and Torbay, almost certainly shot by Commander Harry Vandervell. Narrated by Sir Reginald Bennet and includes some commentaries by original crew members. Rare footage of the building at Camper & Nicholsons in 1934 of the first ‘Endeavour’, Sir Thomas Sopwith’s first challenger for the America’s Cup.
