Synopsis
Looks at causes of violent behaviour, noting that psychiatrists working with prisoners identify paranoia as one of the most important factors underlying violence in cities. Examines current research looking into levels of brain chemicals and possible ways of using drugs to alter behaviour. Also asks whether social problems should be given medical solutions.
