Woman’s Portion, The
- Synopsis
- A short melodrama in which a working class woman falls asleep and dreams that her husband has returned from the war. When she discovers that he has deserted she spurns him. She wakes to find that her husband has returned but with official permission to do so. Recounting her dream she tells him that she could not have lived with a deserter. The film emphasises the sacrifice made by women during the first world war.
