Winstanley

Synopsis
A story set during the period of the civil wars in England, telling of the commune of ‘Diggers’ set up in 1649 on St George’s Hill in Surrey under the leadership of the visionary Gerrard Winstanley. Adapted from the novel ‘Comrade Jacob’ by David Caute and the writings of Gerrard Winstanley.

DVD extras include: IT HAPPENED HERE AGAIN (Mival, 1976); New 39 min interview with Kevin Brownlow and Andrew Mollo; Booklet written by Marina Lewycka; Kevin Brownlow’s short film about the last Glasgow Tram.
