Will to Learn, The

Synopsis
Features four high-security prisoners in three British prisons following educational courses. Explores their attitudes and ambitions, both long- and short-term, and by following one inmate both before and after release, gives an insight into the struggle for change through education. Education is seen by many prisoners as a ‘soft option’, but for others it is their ticket to going straight. The programme contains no narration; the only speakers are the prisoners and their tutors.
