What’s a Girl Like You..?
- Synopsis
- The work of professional engineers involves design, research, development, production, marketing and finance. Qualified engineers need to have both practical and management abilities and a knowledge of current technological development. In Great Britain, there are relatively few women professional engineers and this film presents seven case histories of women who have successful careers in engineering including such projects as the Thames flood barrier and a head-up display for fighter aircraft. Among the topics they discuss are the day-to-day problems they encounter, their training and industrial experiences and why other girls should seriously consider becoming qualified engineers.
