Malaria, rabies and snakebite
Synopsis
The Wellcome Trust supports a Unit in Bangkok, Thailand for the study of malaria, rabies and snake bites. Severe malaria needs prompt treatment with quinine, given intravenously. The management of patients with serious snake bites by Malayan pit vipers is also shown.
