Weavers, The: Wasn’t That a Time?
- Synopsis
- A portrait of the Weavers - Pete Seeger, Ronnie Gilbert, Fred Hellerman and Lee Hays - as they prepare for a final reunion concert (November 1980) in Carnegie Hall. An affectionate look at the group which helped push socially conscious folk song into the world of popular music, with memories of their being investigated by the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) and their being blacklisted in the 1950s. They sing many of their songs.
