Synopsis

Demonstrates in detail the slow-rate hydraulic forming of stainless steel denture bases using the apparatus developed by Bahrani, Blair and Crossland of the Queen’s University Belfast and described in the dental literature in 1965. Discusses the metallurgical implications of the technique and the clinical indications for the use of stainless steel denture bases are discussed.
