Blood Pressure Measurement

Synopsis
The measurement of blood pressure is arguably the most important clinical test undertaken by nurses and doctors. Though it is a relatively simple procedure, the techniques are often badly taught and inadequately standardised. Slovenly and inaccurate readings lead to incorrect clinical decisions and the false classification of some of the normotensive people as hypertensive. The first part of the video shows how to check equipment and measure blood pressure properly; the second part is a seris of 20 tests on taking blood pressure readings.
