Synopsis

'War Pictorial News’ was an official newsreel series which ran throughout the war and for a period after it. No 240 (December 1945) includes events such as the evacuation of children from Berlin, preparations for the Nuremberg trials, liberation celebrations in Holland and in Hong Kong, the return of the French to Saigon, Wavell and Auchinleck being decorated in Delhi, and the British Prime Minister Attlee with President Truman in the USA.
