Notes
A study in media manipulation showing how certain techniques can be used to persuade the viewer to accept a particular point of view as a true account of events. Two ficticious historians, one ‘pro’ and one ‘anti’ the war, write a script to similar film footage, each trying to convince the viewer that their interpretation of events is correct. The student has to question the veracity of the images in relation to the opposing stance of the narratives, showing the power of the media to distort and manipulate opinion.
