Victorian Yellowback Books
- Synopsis
- Illustrates the development of the famous series of Victorian ‘yellowback’ books popular on railway bookstalls in the 1850s and 1860s, which, technically, were an important new artistic venture at the time, incorporating the printing of multi-coloured designs on to a coloured wrapper. The slide set is based on an exhibition held in 1983.
