Synopsis
The selection and use of aerosol type brittle coatings in experimental stress analysis is illustrated using the example of a central hole in a plate under uniform tension. Shows selection of lacquers, component preparation for spraying, the spraying procedure, the use of calibration bars, the component testing and the plotting of isoentatics.
