Uranus Encounter
- Synopsis
- Uranus is two billion miles from earth, 50 times its size and shrouded in an opaque smoggy atmosphere. Voyager 2, an unmanned spacecraft, travelled past Uranus early in 1986. The scientific interest centred on the photographs sent back of Uranus’ moons which are formed of rock and ice.
