Unfair Dismissal

Synopsis
The concept of unfair dismissal was first introduced by the 1971 Industrial Relations Act which gives employees rights to question the grounds on which notice was given. Further legislation in 1978, 1980 and 1982 strengthened these rights. Demonstrates four vital steps for managers to follow if they want to improve employee performance and avoid an industrial tribunal.
