Describes how, in 23 low-income communities in Zambia’s copper belt, over 500 volunteers are in the front line of a programme that has successfully integrated tuberculosis control into community-based home care for people with HIV/AIDS. With TV the leading cause of death amon African people living with HIV/AIDS, describes how strategies for coping with HIV and TB can also be mutually reinforcing and enhancing.
