Two-Port Networks with Resistors, Capacitors & Inductors (Electricity)
- Synopsis
- Teaching package for calculating voltage gain of simple two-port networks (RC, RL, LC) using the impedance bridge formula and complex arithmetic; describing the general structures, functions (low pass, high pass) properties and applications of L-type electrical filters; designing simple L-type filters (RC, RL), calculating their attenuation-frequency properties and sketching Bode plots. Each section covers presentation of theory; interactive exploration of varying circuit components and values with spreadsheets and graphs; tutorial questions on the material. Approximately 1-3 hours of teaching material.
