- Synopsis
- Series following the personal struggles of business leaders who are confronted with difficult times.
1 (producer Michele Kurland): With the Northamptonshire family shoe manufacturing business failing, Steve Pateman convinced his father that thigh-length boots and high-heel shoes for men could save the busines.
2 (producer Mary FitzPatrick): the Condé Nest launch of a Russian edition of ‘Vogue’ magazine is fraught with disaster as the Russian government devalues the rouble.
3: Petra Doring, founder of costume jewellery firm Cabouchon, struggles to rebuild her company after it went bankrupt a year earlier. Her task involves retrieving a hostile sales force, creating a new catalogue and securing investment.
4 (producer Mary FitzPatrick): Brian Clivaz restore Home House, a decaying 18th-century mansion in the West End of London, as a privte club. Sixteen weeks before the opening, his chances of finding 1500 customers and opening on time look uncertain.
