- Synopsis
- Brian Richards, an architect whose speciality is city transport, presents his ideas for innovative approaches to the problems of urban transport. Examines the negative role cars have played, and the resultant costs of congestion and pollution. Ways of restraining and replacing cars are examined together with the economic and environmental gains offered by the alternatives. Walking, cycling and ways of arranging cities to lessen the need for transport are discussed.
