Synopsis
A record of the craft of felt-making, one of the oldest textile traditions. In Anatolia felt is still produced for the making of sikkes and kepeneks, saddlecloths and rugs and hangings. It is an extaordinary tradition using the natural properties of raw wool to produce material with unique attractions and characteristics. Contents include: woolmarket; felting bow; laying fleece; patterning; kicking; feltmaking machines; making of an arakiye and sikke.
