Synopsis: Part of a series aimed at helping the smaller businesses prepare for the Single Market. The barriers to trade within the European Community are finally being removed to create a free and competitive market - The Single Market - and that process involves setting out harmonised rules and standards that will ensure the free movement of goods between EC member states. The programme examines how these standards are affecting two industries, the top end of the hi-fi industry and the age-old Scottish fishing industry.
