Touch of Sensitivity, A
- Synopsis
- An examination of the sense of touch. Research is showing that touch deprivation can lead to abnormal and violent behaviour, and furthermore to brain damage, heart disease and immunological disorders. Touch therapy is proving useful with disturbed adolescents and in marriage guidance. Premature babies are helped by lying on lambswool, and stroking pet animals is helpful to heart patients. Concludes that the importance of the sense of touch cannot be ignored.
