Too Big Too Soon?
- Synopsis
- Investigates the potential of human growth hormome. Research into a mass-produced, synthetic form of growth hormone has revealed the fundamental role that growth hormone plays in regulating human bodies at every stage of life. Few benefits have been proved, but already it has revolutionised the treatment of children deficient in the hormone, and many other people are hoping it will change their lives: AIDS sufferers, athletes and the elderly and frail. Human growth hormone raises serious questions about the future of medicine and its implications for society.
