Biology of the Cuttlefish

Synopsis
Shows the life cycle of ‘Sepia officinalis’ in aquarium conditions. Shows: close-up of egg clusters, movement and development of the embryo, hatching, colour changes and feeding of the young. Shows capture of larger prey and ingestion as the cuttlefish grows. In adult stages, mating behaviour and reproductive organs are shown, followed by copulation processes and consequent egg laying: adults may now die after completion of the life cycle.
