Time Pilgrims

Synopsis
Follows the experience of a group of students on an excavation organised by the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Liverpool. The excavation of a church graveyard in Prescott, Lancashire, is a new experience for some and their enthusiasm is evident. The oldest digger is a woman over 80. Shows the group at work learning different techniques such as pot washing, geophysics surveys, use of documentary evidence and the hard work of ‘trench warfare’.
