Three Approaches to Psychotherapy: Kathy (3 Parts)

Synopsis
An actual patient is filmed while engaged in therapy with three different therapists. Each film includes an introduction by the therapist and a description of his method of therapy, followed by the interview.
1: Dr Carl Rogers conducts the first therapy session with Kathy. She experiences him as fatherly and comfortable as is enabled by her work with him to open up and experience catharsis.
2: Kathy felt challenged in her work with Dr Everett Shostrom and using his thinking, feeling and bio-energetic techniques she sees this as a ‘working session’.
3: Kathy works with Dr Arnols A Lazarus, a behaviourist whose multi-modal therapy employs the basic ‘id’ theory, Kathy experiences Dr Lazarus as employing a ‘doing’ approach to therapy.
