Part 2: Describes the major nuclear weapon delivery systems and discusses Russian and American comparative strengths. Analyses the current arms race and the likely spread of nuclear weapons to other nations. Looks at the limited prospects for protection.
Part 3: Discusses Cruise missiles and the Trident system. Examines developments in nuclear strategy, the possible future triggers to a nuclear holocaust, the arguments for and against the possession of nuclear weapons by the USA, USSR and Britain and the prospects for nuclear disarmament.
