Synopsis

Soviet propaganda material produced during the Cold War years using original footage from the archives of the Warsaw Pact countries. The archive footage was selected from a Russian perspective denouncing Germany and German policy during World War 2. Part 1 shows fighting beginning from the battles on the lower banks of the Dnieper and the Crimea until the liberation of Czechoslovakia. Veterans shard their recollections.
