Synopsis
Technique of vacuum aspiration for termination of pregnancy. Shows recent refinements in technique, particularly the use of intravenous ergometrine and the positioning of the paracervical block. Stresses the safety of the method and the low blood loss, providing that the operation is performed before the 13th week of pregnancy by a competent gynaecologist.*
