Tempesta Sui Balcan

Synopsis
Celebrates Italy’s use of air power during the Balkan offensive. Footage of bombing missions, a jubilant commentary listing targets successfully destroyed, and a lively if somewhat odd musical soundtrack are all employed to suggest a victorious campaign. A central sequence also shows life at various airbases, one of which is visited by Mussolini. Perhaps not the equivalent of FEUERTAUFE, the footage never really substantiates the commentary’s claims, nor is it as well made - but it is an interesting example of the Italian campaign film.
