Synopsis
A teaching package on anexoria nervosa for professional audiences.
1: An illustrated lecture by Profesor A H Crisp, drawing on international reputation and professional experience treating patients with anorexia nervosa. (45 minutes)
2: Clinical illustrations: edited interviews with three patients, including a patient successfully treated over 15 years ago. Also includes an interview with a dietician and a short section on theory. (45 minutes)
3: A drama-documentary based around a hospital consultation and admission to a psychiatric unit. Displays how the patient came to develop anorexia nervosa and shows some aspects of treatment, both at an emotional and more practical level. The patient returns to college and practices what she has learned. (26 minutes)
