Learning on ScreenTatsuo Miyajima: ‘Running Time’ / ‘Clear Zero’
- Synopsis
- Shows the Tatsuo Miyajima installation ‘Running Time’ at the Queen’s House in Greenwich, in which electronic counters glide through the darkened interior like a vast picture of the cosmos at night or a microcosm of atoms in constant movement. This is contrasted with the performance piece ‘Clear Zero’ in which the electronic counters are gradually exchanged for human beings walking in random patterns and counting in over 40 different languages. As more people enter the room, the sound intensifies into a babel of numbers.
