Talking About Becoming a Victim of Violence
- Synopsis
- Kevin, a 16 year old, was the subject of an unprovoked violent physical attack from other adolescents. He describes the event in detail. He relates what his life was like the following year, sharing his fears, his reluctance to leave home, his desire to blend into the background and not to look anyone in the face. He analyses the attitudes of other people to the event, examining the responses of the police, hospital staff, school teachers, the legal profession and his family.
