Synopsis
Examines aspects of differing cultural and physical experiences to show how modern societies and environments are shaped by mathematics. Looks at the minting of coins in South Wales and patterns in the mud pools in New Zealand, where inhabitants draw maps showing their country at the top of the world. Shows Maori cooking and navigation methods.
