- Synopsis
- Examines the role of nurses in the community working alongside GPs and community psychiatric nurses to ensure the effective delivery of anti-depressant drugs to clients with clinical depression. Interviews and short scenarios are used to highlight issues such as therapeutic dosage, side effects, patient compliance and client monitoring. Looks at issues of counselling and self-help as therapy, the possibilities of overdose and suicide, and the nurse’s role in supporting clients when drug therapy ceases.
