Synovectomy in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Polyarthritis

Synopsis
The cells of the synovial pannus would appear to play an important part in the syntheses of the rheumatoid factor. This explains why synovectomy, while liberating the affected joint, may have a favourable effect on the course of the disease. The film shows two operations, one on the knee, the other on the hand.
