Superficial Bladder Cancer: The Difficult Case
- Synopsis
- The treatment of superficial bladder cancer makes up a large proportion of the workload of a urological department. Using a mixture of live action and diagram animation the film deals with the incidence, the factors which predispose, and the progression of the disease. The appearance of the tumours are shown by endoscopic cinephotography, the probability of a recurrent tumour progressing to invasion is discussed, and the strategy of management outlined. The role of intravesical chemotherapy is presented and the technique is demonstrated.
